4th March 2014 - Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is now inviting expressions of interest from persons interested in being appointed to the Evaluation and Approvals Committee of the new DLR Local Enterprise Office. This Committee will consist of the County Manager/Nominee as Chair; a representative from Enterprise Ireland; and five individuals with specific areas of business expertise. There is no remuneration attached to the positions.

Commuter Friendly Workplace Award Competition

As part of the Sandyford Smarter Travel project, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is launching its second Commuter Friendly Workplace Award competition for companies in the Sandyford Business District.

This competition aims to recognise Sandyford Business District companies who encourage and support sustainable commuting options by employees. An application form is attached and the closing date is December 5th, 2012.

NTA Public Consultation draft Cycle Network proposals for the Greater Dublin Area. Full details of the consultation can be found here – here.

The Proposals include increasing the length of the region's cycle network to 2,840km (from today's 500km), and includes primary and secondary routes, as well as Greenways.

If you would like to make a submission, please note the closing date - 5.00pm on Monday, October 14th, 2013.

The draft Plan may be inspected in hard copy at the Authority's offices: Dun Scéine, Harcourt Lane, Dublin 2 between 9.00am and 5.00pm (including lunchtimes) from September 10th until 5.00pm on Monday, October 14th, 2013.

August 2013 - DLRCC Cycle Network Map

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has developed a Cycle Network Map for the County to help cyclists plan their trips by bike. This map consists of red, amber and green routes to help cyclists determine the most direct, safest and most efficient route for their journey based on their cycling ability. Many of the routes on the map linking key destinations are not on main traffic routes.

Feedback is being sought on how this map can be improved or if there are any errors / omissions in this draft prior to printing the map.

August 2013 Luas - Summertime Kids Go Free Weekends

The RPA is delighted to announce that Luas is continuing the Kids Go Free Weekends offer every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday until the end of August! Each adult with a valid Luas ticket may take up to two children aged 3-15 years free of charge on Luas every weekend until they go back to school! Children under 3 always travel free on Luas.

There are lots of great events taking place in Dublin over the summer, as well as loads of family-friendly attractions near both Luas lines, so be sure to take advantage of the offer and take the Kids for a trip on Luas.
